Professor Anna M. Kindler
Professor Kindler is a former UBC Vice Provost and Associate Vice President Academic. She has extensive international experience having studied and worked as an academic in Europe, North America and Asia. These experiences include her earning two Masters degrees (in Poland and in the USA) and a doctorate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
An award-winning scholar in art education and accomplished academic leader, she has published and lectured extensively throughout the world and has served as advisor to governments and post-secondary institutions on matters related to educational reforms, organizational change management and leadership development.
In addition to her 10-year senior leadership role at UBC, Professor Kindler served as Dean of the School of Creative Arts, Sciences and Technology at the Hong Kong Institute of Education (now Hong Kong Education University).
A former UBC Senator, she is currently a member of the UBC Board of Governors.
