Program Overview
The UBC International Teacher Professional Development Program for Teaching Excellence is designed for pre-service and in-service K-12 teachers to innovate and optimize the effectiveness of their teaching. The program explores current issues related to curriculum and pedagogy and introduces participants to research-based strategies proven to enhance student learning. It allows participants to directly observe educational innovation in Canadian classrooms and encourages them to reflect on how their own teaching and assessment can be continually improved.
The program curriculum can be adjusted to the specific needs and interests of the expected participants. A certificate of participation is awarded upon successful completion of the program.

Duration and Fees
The program is typically delivered over a three-week period on the UBC Vancouver campus. The length of the program can be tailored to the needs of the group. The cost for the academic program is based on a cohort model. Accommodation, medical insurance, local transportation, and cultural visits can be included in the package.
